Physio Bike Fitting
A comprehensive fit for riders seeking peak efficiency.
Service Description
A deep-dive fit for riders who want the full picture—comfort, sustainable power transfer, injury prevention, and aerodynamic efficiency. We use Train.Red to monitor real-time muscle oxygen (SmO₂), revealing issues like restricted blood flow, asymmetry, or excessive local fatigue in specific positions, so we can refine your setup with evidence—not guesswork. THE FIT 1) Detailed history, goals, and a quick mobility/functional screen. 2) Baseline ride to assess posture, pedalling pattern, and contact-point loading. 3) Comprehensive adjustments: cleat setup, saddle height/fore–aft/tilt, reach & stack (spacers/stem), bar width/rotation/hoods, and position testing for TT/tri aero or road. 4) Multiple iteration rounds with short test bouts while tracking SmO₂ to confirm improved oxygenation, symmetry, and reduced strain. RESULTS Comfort troubleshooting (hands/feet numbness, neck/low-back tension) and pacing/cadence guidance for your new position. You’ll leave with: 1) A fit report and exact replication measurements (saddle, cockpit, cleats). 2) A clear before/after summary with SmO₂ insights explaining why the new position works. 3) Targeted mobility/strength drills and equipment recommendations (e.g., saddle/stem options) if needed. 4) Guidance on adapting to the position over the next 4–6 weeks. PREPERATION Bring your bike, shoes, and usual kit (TT/tri suit if relevant). Ensure your bike is in good working order. For mobile appointments, provide a clear, safe space with power and nearby parking; we can supply a trainer on request via the booking form. REASSESMENT Re-check after 4–6 weeks once you’ve adapted, and again pre-season or after any major equipment/position change to keep comfort, efficiency, and aero dialled.
