2) Scope

This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal data when you visit our website, make enquiries, book services, or take part in testing and assessments (e.g., VO₂Max, RMR, running economy, bike/run fit, musculoskeletal screening).

3) The data we collect

Identity & contact: name, email, phone, address.
Booking & account: services booked, dates/times, payment status, communications.
Health & performance (special category): relevant medical history you share; testing data from tools such as VO2Master, Train.Red muscle oxygen sensors, CORE body temperature sensors, heart-rate monitors, foot pods and training devices (e.g., power, cadence, pace); where relevant, gait/technique notes or video used for analysis.
Logistics: location details for mobile appointments (to plan/attend the visit).
Marketing preferences: your choices about receiving updates.
Website & device info: basic analytics/cookies (see “Cookies” below).

4) How we use your data & lawful basIs

  • Provide services & manage bookings (performance of a contract).

  • Testing, reporting & follow-up care (contract; explicit consent for health data).

  • Client support & communications (contract; legitimate interests to respond/help).

  • Safety, quality and record-keeping (legal obligations; legitimate interests).

  • Marketing with your permission (consent, which you can withdraw anytime).

  • Anonymised/aggregated insights: we may create anonymised or aggregated datasets derived from your information for research, service improvement, analytics, or similar activities. These outputs will not identify you.

5) Special category (health) data

We only collect health/performance data that is relevant to your service. We process it with your explicit consent and to deliver assessment, coaching or physiotherapy you request. You can withdraw consent, but that may limit our ability to provide certain services.

6) Sharing your data

We share data only when necessary:

  • Within Endurance Works staff who deliver your service.

  • Service providers (e.g., website/booking, email, secure file storage, payment).

  • Professional referrals you request (e.g., physiotherapy or medical specialists).

  • Legal/insurance where required by law or to establish/exercise legal claims.
    We do not sell your data.

7) International transfers

Some trusted service providers may store/process data outside the UK/EEA. When this happens, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses).

8) Retention

  • General enquiries & booking records: kept for as long as needed to provide services and meet legal/accounting requirements.

  • Health/assessment records: retained for at least the minimum period required by applicable professional and legal standards.
    When retention ends, we securely delete or anonymise data.

9) Your rights

You can: access, correct, erase, restrict, object to certain processing, and request data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise rights, email info@enduranceworks.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (see Section 12).

10) Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data (account controls, least-access principles, encrypted services where available, staff awareness). No system is 100% secure; we work to reduce risk and act promptly if issues arise.

Our website may use cookies/analytics to improve functionality and measure usage. You can manage preferences via your browser and (where available) our cookie banner/settings.
